Belinda has enjoyed a successful and wide-ranging career in financial services, which has evolved into a more advisory and strategic role, particularly with early-stage companies, including a focus on the emerging low-cost hydrogen and energy arena.

Having started her career at Coopers and Lybrand, Belinda moved to Merrill Lynch and subsequently to HSBC, initially specialising in advising major institutional clients on listed derivatives and futures strategies. She then worked on HSBC’s UK Equity Sales Desk, straddling both UK Derivatives and UK Equities, offering integrated strategies and solutions. She eventually set up and ran the Pan-European Equities Sales Desk, focusing on US Institutional Fund Managers.

From HSBC she joined Deutsche Bank to offer Pan-European Equity trading ideas predominantly to Hedge Funds and other Institutional Investors, building an extensive European client base. Belinda then transitioned into Private Equity, advising for and on early-stage companies.

In 2021 she became an advisor and then a non-executive director of ProtonH2, a Canadian company producing clean, low-cost hydrogen from hydrocarbon reserves, as well as oil. In July 2023, Belinda was appointed to the sub-committee Board of Independent Directors to take over running the business, resulting in the successful sale of the company.

Belinda speaks fluent French and Spanish, and, when she is not working, she enjoys current affairs, music, charitable works, and exercise.
